Join us this summer for the 3rd annual Artists Thrive Summit in Berea, Kentucky (our culminating time in Berea). We expect more than 150 visual and performing artists, makers, innovators, creatives, educators and leading arts service practitioners who will continue to build a shared vision of what it takes to have a thriving arts sector.
Within the culture and social justice rich context of Berea and nearby Appalachian towns, we will explore and describe how conditions might change in order for all artists and humanity to thrive. We hope you will become part of a growing cohort committed to adding to and utilizing the Artists Thrive tools as part of a field-wide tool box supporting systems level changes.
This year’s gathering will build on the "I Am an Artist" and "I Work with Artists" tools by exploring a framework for a new "I Teach Artists” tool. We’ll have multiple interactive sessions, time for peer connections, plus deep learning from place as we visit Berea College and the Kentucky School of Bluegrass and Traditional Music in Hyden, KY. This is a not to be missed opportunity to enjoy The Osborne Brother’s Hometown Festival.
Financial assistance is available for artists. Click on the link below to complete an application.
