Professional Artist Magazine feature on Using the Artists Thrive Tools to Identify Blind Spots

The June/July issue of Professional Artist Magazine includes a feature by Elaine Grogan Luttrell describing the Artists Thrive tools as “part rubric for self-assessment, part survey and part loose roadmap for entrepreneurial thinking.”

The article shares more about the journey that sparked the initial creation of the Artists Thrive tools, how artists and organizations across the country are using them, and offers specific tips on how to (and how not to) use the Artists Thrive tools.

In addition, Luttrell relays a story from the Queens Arts Council about how the survey can fuel productive one-on-one consultations with artists. She describes how, “the survey—the Artists Thrive assessment tool—wasn’t the end point. It was just the beginning of a deeper conversation that led to tangible results for [the artist].”
